plzz help its for a wedding and its in 2 weeks im one of te flower girls lol and i have to wear this pink dress the only problem is that now they want all of us to look the same so i need my nails to be done in pink and im totally stumped because tbh i never really do my nails in pink i usually choose different colours and its for a wedding so i really don't know what kind of style to go with i usually do french manicures so if there is anything along those lines i would like that but right now i really need some pretty nail ideas that are pink

CND makes some good products - both acrylic and gels. The one thing I don't like about CND acrylics is that they tend to cause pocket lifting. Oh, and they are super ratio sensitive so if you don't get the liquid/powder ratio correct, you will have problems with it. I have only played with EzFlow a few times, but I didn't like it all that much.
There are a LOT of nail companies out there. Why don't you try some of them and see for yourself which ones work best for YOU? What works well for one person may not work well for another. It's a personal preference type of thing. Many companies have 'try-me' kits available for free, or for low cost. A couple of companies that I can recommend are Young Nails (excellent acrylics, they're gels are a bit too runny for me though), Entity Beauty - really good acrylic products though a bit pricey.
It's best to try as many product lines as you can before deciding on one to use. Use one for a while, then switch to another, and use that one for a while. Before long, you will be able to recognize the differences in each line. This is the only way that you can make an informed decision as to which product line is best for you to use. By limiting yourself to just choice 'A' or choice 'B' is not going to expose you to what may be much better products, or maybe not better products. Only you can decide that. But, it will take time, and practice with each of them...

my friend is currently trying to learn it hopefully she could master it %26amp; make a living with this skill. I have long natural nails and I wanted to know if I could get them designed without getting acrylic nails put on. I have heard of an overlay or a wrap but I don't know the difference between the two. Apply a clear coat of nail polish before you do anything to prevent stains or anything that might damage them. Make it at least two coats.
Draw squares all over the nails with a white marker, like a checkerboard. Fill in the squares you want to be white.
Fill in the remaining squares with a thin black Sharpie marker.
Wait a few minutes or until dry.
Apply a clear coat to prevent erasure.
METHOD 2:
Apply a coat or two of white nail polish.
Draw squares all over the nails with a black marker, like a checkerboard. Fill in the squares you want to be black. You will not need to draw white squares because of the nail polish.
Wait a few minutes or until dry.
Apply a clear coat to prevent erasure.
TIPS:
Don't make the squares too small or too big. If they're too small it will be hard to make them checkered, if they're too big they might look hideous.

The best suggestion is colorful tape, cut out squares and put them on your nails paint over the tape and everything then you will have say pink nails with white squares then you can take a nail color marke(at Walgreens or something) or a nail brush and color in the white squares or leave them white if you want...thats how i do it and they normally turn out very nice. The best suggestion is colorful tape, cut out squares and put them on your nails paint over the tape and everything then you will have say pink nails with white squares then you can take a nail color marke(at Walgreens or something) or a nail brush and color in the white squares or leave them white if you want...thats how i do it and they normally turn out very nice. Or take like a lip gloss brush and cut some of the hairs and use it.

I've been in more chain restaurants than I care to admit and they all seem to have the same interior design cues. A bunch of garage sale fodder is invariably nailed to the walls; old board games b-movie posters from the 50's...sometimes they'll go as far as to find memorabilia related to the area. There is a Ruby Tuesday's in my area that has items from the local university and high schools on the walls. im sure you can buy nail design tools in Target or Wal*Mart...
and if you simply cannot go out and buy those nail kits..you can make a flower using the things you have at home:
Easy Flower (looks good with french tip)
Get:
several unwanted dull pointed pencils
desired nail polishes(different colors)
a base coat polish
Then follow these steps:
1. apply your base coat (i would suggest clear or a light shade) let dry
2. using a dull pencil's tip, dip it in the nail polish and dot the tip of the pencil onto your nail. (this will be the flowers middle.You now should have one dot on the nail) let it dry
3. Now using a different dull pencil's tip, again dip it in a different nail polish (like red or whatever you want your flower's petals to be) using the dipped tip of the pencil, dot around the flowers middle. You should basically have 5 to 6 dots around the dot from step 2. hopefully it will look like a flower to you
4. Now that you have the basic flower...you can customize it if you want. Usually I like to add sparkles to it using my Sally Hansen Sparkly Nail Polish. You can also add leaves or a vine..whatever you want. you can leave it plain if you want
5. Now check all of your nails to see if they look nice. do touch-ups if neccessary.
6. If your nails are now done, apply 1-2 coats of clear nail polish to seal and protect
ALL DONE!!!

Adding nail polish designs?
Hey. I'm not really good with painting nails at all but I can do solid colors and that's it. I'm wanting to pain my toenails pink and make black stripes on top but I don't know what I could use to make the black stripes and how to do so. I've tried a toothpick suggestion from a random nail-polishing tip site but it didn't work at all. The brush tip that comes with the black nailpolish doesn't seem like it would work either because it would leave a large splotch and the lines wouldn't be thin enough. or you can let the solid color dry completely then use a toothpick and dip it in the bottle of polish and stripe away! this way is easier and saves 4-7 dollars!

I know of some techs who do it on the East coast, but not out West though I'm sure that there are some that do. You won't find them in any discount salon, or in a mall nail salon that is for sure. These are highly skilled techs, and doing original Ed Hardy designs by hand takes a lot of patience and skill. Good luck in your search...

How can i make cute nail designs on my nails. I have good colors to match and all but whenever i try to put on a heart or a flower or something it always gets messed up and i have to start over again. I use the nail polish not those little gems. I dont want to pay money to get it professionally done i just dont know what to use. I have small nails and the brush seems to big to make cute little hearts.Nail polish designs?
Well, I actually just did my nails like 20 minutes ago. I do a base color and then I have this confetti nail polish by N.Y.C. I take the little blue balls out of it with a shark pointed nail file (you can also use a toothpick) and place it on my nails in a design. Today I did horizontal stripes and I have done archs before. Everyone thinks I get them proffessionally done becasue they cokme out so good, and it is really simple, but time consuming.
You can also do polka dots, that might be easier than hearts. Try doing multi colored polka dots, that would be cute.
They also have nail polishes you can buy with a super thin nail polish brush especially made for making designs. When I got my nails done so that they had a palm tree on them they used them, they had them at the salon in like 50 colors for $5 each so look at salons.
Or paint your nails by yourself with a base color and go to the salon. For a design it is only like $10-$15 or $5.Nail polish designs?

They are so cute! For the base color black or pink would look good either way! It's so cute how it matches! It looks so professional. Personally, i think it would be better just to do the pattern on the thumb and ring finger, otherwise it will look too much.
I like the socond design better, The first one just seems like a little too much, i would go with the second one.

the 1st one really caught my eye!really!so I'm gonna have to go with that. also the 2nd one is ok but it just doesn't look right to me!!so definitely go with the brown plaid manicure.

They are so cute! For the base color black or pink would look good either way! It's so cute how it matches! It looks so professional. Personally, i think it would be better just to do the pattern on the thumb and ring finger, otherwise it will look too much.
I like the socond design better, The first one just seems like a little too much, i would go with the second one.

As a licensed nail tech...im gonna have to say that they are either nail stickers...or pictures of money that were cut up and then glued on and painted over with clear coat...
I've never seen something like that airbrushed however I suppose its possible..but more than likely its a picture or a sticker.

Straight line for french tips && different nail designs help?
I grew my nails out and shaped them up. I wanna do french tips on my regular nails instead of paying to get them done because that could damage my real nails and the nearby nail salons suck when painting the white line. I have the clear polish, the white thin pointed polish and the pinkish polish. How can i make a straight line because i keep messing up ?
Also what other cute designs can i do with my different polishes ?

I do the same thing. I took some pratice it get right the first time.
I usually start doing my left hand first and do each finger one by one laying it flat (the nail part of the finger that is). I hold the brush in my right hand and paint the white tip from left to right. and do the opposite on my right hand. I hope this helps :)

Sounds cute to me, just have it at a safe length like you said :D On the other hand...isn't it against cheerleading rules to have your nails covered in polish while you're cheerleading? I used to be a cheerleader and it was against the rules because if you got hurt and passed out or something (unlikely, but still) the nails are an easy way to check if you're getting oxygen.
I think it is really cute. My only concern is considering you are a cheerleader... I hope your nails match any outfits you have otherwise they will really stick out.. I am not quite sure I would go with such bold colors since you have already stated about the restrictions on the nails.. Maybe just the french tips would be better.. or something like mother of pearl. Good luck

yeah using that dotting instrument reaaaally comes in handy.
you can do...french, but instead of the typical white, use a different color, or do white and outline the top of the white with a different color. hah you can always use nail stickers. oh! and those little rhinestones? preeeettttyyyyyy. halloween's coming up, you should do some ';spooky'; nail design for that!

(pull it out towards the outside of you nail) also push a little inwards then get some silver polish and make it the center trust me this flower looks AMAZING all my friends ask where i got them done =). u can also do squiggly lines my friend has these super skinny brushes for nail and its cool if you make squiggly lines coming from 1 spot on ur nail.

I have noticed when I get designs done the girl used one of her fingernails as a pallet and just used regular nail polish. She applied the designs with a stylus looking tool. I am sure they sell them at beauty supply stores like Sally's.
